Go through a series of chaotic waves fighting against many colorful monsters. Discover all seven types of monsters as you go further. Get power up, avoid the monster, and challenge yourself to get the highest score.

Control (needs keyboard and mouse):

  • WASD to move around
  • LSHIFT or SPACE to dash (gain invincibility)
  • Aim using mouse or cursor position

This game was made in 7 days during the Brackeys Game Jam 2021.2 with "Let There Be Chaos" as the theme.

PS: I know that game shouldn't be licensed using CC, but the background music used required me to license this work (as SA implies). I provided another downloadable version that doesn't have the BGM (and so I think allowed to use commercially, as it is not licensed). If you have something to say, please add a comment down below.

5 stars all  the way man this  is really good and defintely fits the theme of chaos

That's good to hear. Thank you!

Very cool game!

Great graphics and quite fun. I got to a bit over 60 slightly after the laser start working

Some criticism:

  • I wish difficulty curve was lower, so I could play each time for longer. At the moment I have to start quite a lot
  • Controls are not responsive enough for such a game
  • It would be cool to have option not to shoot, so I could shoot at the exact moment I like and not wait another recharge
  • Power-up might spawn outside the field
  • Collision boxes are off - the last time I ended up dying from a pink-fast-flyer who was very far away (~3 times it's own size) from m

Wow, getting over 60 is amazing. Glad you achieved that score.

Thanks for the criticism, I'll take more care of those in the future. As for the third point, there are some ways to let the player when to shoot (or not shoot). One is by click to shoot, which is bad as the player needs to shoot a lot and ends up spamming mindlessly. Another is by pressing a key to "hold" the bullet, but it gets pretty complicated for this simple game. And so I ended up shooting at a certain time interval and thus requires them to worry more about their position and movement. I think by limiting the player on when to shoot, the player has to strategize and think more.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, those are very valuable as I don't have someone (and more time) to test my game :( Thanks for playing!

Wow Love the Music! And its also a Great Game!

Thanks for playing!
